I did not try to do excessive physical activity, but I think you are right. The physiological system, during fasting, is restrained to conserve resources. This amount released probably varies a lot from person to person. In those that usually practice a lot of sport, mainly aerobic training (but also weight training), the amount released can be much higher. And they can even run a lot during fasting, or do weight training. I noticed a big difference since my last fastings (dry), probably because these last 2 months I went to the gym 6 times a week, doing weight and cardio training. And a good sauna after each session. By the way, what levels of ketones did you read during fasting ? In my case, after 2 days ketones rise quickly to the level of 5-6 and then it keeps stable. |
