Rin-chen pills, i.e. Jewel pills, these most potent of all admini-strable pharmaceutical in Tibetan Medicine, have been known in Tibet for more than 1000 years. Their origin must certainly be sought in an even earlier period in the Indian Ayurvedic school of thought.
